Become an Internet Search Consultant

Lionbridge is a leading provider of global testing services (Nasdaq: Liox) and works in more than 50 countries.  It is currently hiring part-time independent contractors to work from home evaluating Internet search results to help improve search engine capability.   This project is called the Internet Assessors Program, and currently, 1,500 people are involved in it.   The goal is make Internet search (i.e. using Google, Yahoo!, etc.) more relevant and interesting.  The project headquarters are in Europe, but Lionbridge has opened the job to applicants in the United States.

 

Independent contractors (called Raters) will be required to provide their opinion about particular search results based on a set of guidelines and scoring criteria provided.   Hours of work are flexible and average 10-20 hours per week.  Payment, once a month, is based upon completion of tasks assigned, and interested applicants must first successfully complete an exam before being accepted into the program.  

 

Requirements for this job are:

  • Fluency in written an verbal English

  • Access to and use of a high speed Internet connection

  • Experience with web browsers

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office

  • U.S. residency for the last 5 years

  • Bachelor's degree preferred
