Become a Hotel
Mystery Shopper
As
with grocery store mystery shoppers, hotel mystery
shoppers secretly test and score hotel front desk staff
and sales staff against professional standards to see if
they measure up. Yes, it is a little sneaky, but it
gives hotel management and owners a way to ensure that
customer needs are being met. Hotel Shopping Network
(HSN) is a 14 year old company based in Colorado that
hires hotel mystery shoppers. This work is done from
home via the telephone.
The company is not always hiring, but they are currently
accepting email resumes and are seeking self-starters
and who want to be self-employed (contract
employees). Previous experience in the hospitality
industry is not required, but they require that you have
a computer with a DSL or cable Internet connection, a
phone line with a long distance plan (HSN does not
reimburse for long distance charges), a blocked
telephone number and recording software.
HSN further requires that you are able to perform basic computer
and Internet functions, such as sending and receiving attachments
via email and typing. The ability to organize, meet
deadlines, over-communicate, work independently and adhere to work
schedule are also traits the company is seeking.
In return for these qualities, if you are hired, HSN will
provide training audios, software, a manual and a planning
calendar. There is no fee to apply to this company.
