AmeriPlan® Sales
Reps (IBOs) and Recruiters/Trainers |
AmeriPlan is a
There are two ways to earn income with AmeriPlan. One is to sign up as an independent
representative (actually called a Independent Business
Owner or IBO) and sell the plan to anyone seeking
supplemental health care coverage (or to people that do
not have any health insurance). The plan sells
for $14.95 - $59.95 per month (plus a registration fee)
for the entire household, and as an IBO you earn 30% of the
membership payment every time your sign up makes his or
her monthly payment. So if you sign-up one member
today, then you will make $5.99 this month and $5.99 and
every month your new member is active (six month advance
payment is also possible). This can lead to ongoing
residual income, but there is a start-up fee of $95 (a
business kit for $25, a $20 registration fee and a $50
service fee), plus $50 per month to maintain your broker's
license. Training takes place online and over the
phone.
The second way to earn at home income with AmeriPlan is to sign
up as a recruiter/training specialist for the company and recruit
people (IBOs) to sell the AmeriPlan discount program to families,
individuals, et cetera. This involves marketing the AmeriPlan business
opportunity, and you are trained how to interview and answer
questions from people interested in becoming an IBO. If you
recruit an IBO, then you earn $15 every month that they remain
active, or you can choose the advance payment option and
immediately receive $90 per recruit and then receive $15 per month
after the sixth month that they are active. The start-up
cost to become a trainer is $495, which includes 5 months of your
IBO fees ($250) paid upfront.
Both of these jobs are flexible, and there is a lot of
potential to earn extra income, but both require some marketing
and sales skills to be successful. And remember that $50 is
charged each month you are an IBO, so you need to make some sales
to cover that amount. The company claims that IBOs and
trainers do not make cold calls or telemarket, and this seems to
be the case; most IBOs and trainers sign up for websites (supplied
through the company and included in the fees or available for less
than $10 per month) and have people contact them online; these people
are already interested in either the
discount plan or in becoming an IBO, making selling the plan or
business opportunity easier. IBOs and trainers
(if you become a trainer you are also automatically an IBO) are
independent contractors and receive a 1099 (not a W-2) at the end
of the year. One definite perk of AmeriPlan is that it pays daily.
Anyone interested in signing up as an IBO or trainer has to do
so through an AmeriPlan trainer, and there are a lot of
them. Go to www.google.com
and type in "ameriplan" to find dozens of websites through
which you can join the company and ask questions.
